OUR COMMUNITY
Windsor Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by 50 Avenue S to the north, Macleod Trailto the east, 58 Avenue S to the south and the Calgary Golf & Country Club and Elbow River to the west. Chinook Centre is located southeast of the neighbourhood.
Development started in 1940, and the area was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1951.
It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillor.
Playgrounds, ice skating, tennis courts, bike pathways, seniors yoga, children’s art classes, restaurants, delis and a truly diverse neighbourhood make Windsor Park one of the nicest communities in Calgary. Everything you need to “live local” is in Windsor Park or within walking distance of this quiet, inner city community. One of Calgary’s most welcoming communities, Windsor Park is home to the Calgary Golf and Country Club, Providence Child Development Centre, Britannia Daycare, Fire Station No. 11, Saint Anthony’s Church, the First Evangelical Church and the Windsor Park community association.
